So I have decided that my life is in major need of a clean-out. I'm a little late for "spring cleaning" but I was otherwise engaged this past spring so summer will have to do. Besides, we can't go outside in this heat so what else is there to do?
My cousin Beth is a fabulous organizer. She is so sweet to help me organize my closet and get rid of some of my clothes. I tend to hang on to things unless someone is there to tell me that I won't be wearing that anymore so her assistance is much appreciated. We made lots of headway today while Christopher was napping. Here are some pics. Keep in mind, these first pictures were taken halfway into the process. I don't live with my closet like this!!
What a mess!!
This is the GIANT pile of clothes that I am getting rid of. I can't wait to go shopping to replace them all!!!! LOL!
This is just a small sampling of the hangers that I collected throughout this process.
Here are all my clothes (and a few of Cory's) that are going away. It may be hard to tell from the picture, but there are 15 shopping bags of clothing there!
Here is how Christopher kept himself entertained while we worked. That is the top of one of my big tubs that usually stores some sweaters. I may ask him to do the same thing to all of my others...I love how colorful it is!!
Stay tuned to see the finished project. Next in the list is the playroom. I'm tired just thinking about that job!!!

You are so good! Does your cousing hire out? I told Jeff I was going to go into my closet and get rid of all my clothes as well...I haven not completed that task yet. However, I am working on the playroom...we are painting and adding storage.
I love that there's a Sonic cup in the closet photo!
This is hilarious. I especially love the trademark Sonic cup in the first pic! You left your mark for sure!!
I had to do this before we moved. It is amazing how much stuff you get rid of! My closet/storage space is so limited here, I think I should have gotten rid of more. Great for you for doing it without the motivation of moving!!!
Clearly I need to start charging, instead of the $1.83 Sonic drink! Just kidding, but seriously, I've helped with 3 closets in 1 week, and have still yet to do mine!!
Beth is the BEST at making you get rid of stuff that is really just junk and clutter. She is brutal but fair. My closet looks great--I had 3 bags and some hanging stuff to clear out!!
